The Bocuse d’Or, held every two years in Lyon, France, is one of the world’s most prestigious culinary competitions and is often described as the culinary Olympics. Founded in 1987 by legendary French Chef Paul Bocuse, it brings together the best chefs from around the world to compete in an intense, stadium-style environment.
For chefs, competing is a career-defining achievement and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent their country on a global stage. The 2027 #RoadtoLyon will officially kick off in early 2026, when the 2027 Team USA is announced. Every donation ensures the team has all the necessary equipment and ingredients needed to compete successfully in Lyon.
Chef André Soltner Grant Program
The Grant Program was established to provide young culinary professionals with unique opportunities to expand their training and skills through stage experiences, many of which they could not access or afford on their own.
Each grant we provide allows aspiring culinarians to connect with some of the world’s most established mentors and top restaurants. Our goal is to support the next generation with the resources, education and tools they need to grow a successful culinary career. All contributions are greatly appreciated and help make an impact.
February 11, 2026 marks the 100th birthday of Chef Paul Bocuse — a pioneer of modern French cuisine whose influence shaped global gastronomy. A mentor and guiding force for our foundation, his impact continues to inspire generations of chefs. To honor this milestone, the first 30 donors to give $100 or more will receive a special Monsieur Paul commemorative champagne bowl.
